Mr. Perez is a licensed mining engineer with over 35 years of experience in operations management and project development both in the Philippines and abroad.
Locally, he was previously responsible for commissioning and operating TVIRD’s Canatuan Project: as General Manager for its successful Gold-Silver Operations and as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its Copper-Zinc mine and processing plant. He likewise served as President & COO of Silangan Mindanao Mining Company Inc. and as President of Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation.
His overseas experience includes over 13 years with PT International Nickel Indonesia (now PT VALE Indonesia) – where he assumed senior management roles from Chief Mine Engineer to Manager of Mines – and with BHP Iron Ore in Western Australia as Principal Mining Engineer.
Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
