In recognition of its social commitment in its operating mines, TVIRD was granted Certificates of Precondition from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). These certifications pave the way for the establishment of a Memorandum of Agreement between the company and the Indigenous Peoples' tribes residing near its mine sites. In turn, the agreement allows for the implementation of community development programs funded by the tribes’ Royalty Share.

TVIRD indigenous hosts are accorded due respect with regard to their culture, involved in decisions on the welfare of the tribes, and assured of their right to self-determination.
