(TSX: TVI), a publicly-listed Canadian mining company focused on the exploration, development and production of precious and base metals from district-scale, large-system, high-margin projects located in the Philippines. TVIRD is a Filipino corporation and is the first foreign-affiliated Filipino company to reach production stage upon the enactment of the Philippine Mining Act of 1995—the law that was instituted to revitalize the large-scale mining industry that would in turn propel the nation’s economic growth.
Since then, TVIRD has evolved into a diversified mining company that focuses on developing resource projects in the country, operating under the highest standards of health and safety practices for its workers and its host community as well as a class-leading approach to environmental protection.
Following the conclusion of its Canatuan Gold-Silver and Copper-Zinc projects, the Agata Nickel Laterite Mine was the third successful mining project that TVIRD brought on-stream in a period of 10 years while its Balabag Gold-Silver Mine further cements its position as a steady producer of precious metals in the country.
With the commercial operations of its Siana Gold Mine, the company remains committed to exploration and mining practices that promote transparency, responsible stewardship of the environment, and the inalienable rights to life, dignity, and sustainable development of its host communities.
TVIRD has long planned the future of Sitio Canatuan – the community that hosts its mining operations in the town of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. Together with its citizens, most especially the indigenous Subanons, TVIRD has worked towards its sustainable economic and environmental future – one that goes beyond the life of the mine.
