Agata Mining Ventures Inc. (AMVI), joint venture project of TVIRD in Tubay Municipality, Agusan del Norte Province, commemorated International Women’s Day this year by highlighting their own empowered women in society and in the communities it serves.
AMVI received awards for the successful implementation of its Coastal Resource Management Program and for its exemplary performance in promoting responsible mining.
TVIRD’s Agata Mining Ventures Inc. and Sociedad Española de Beneficencia Inc. conducted the first leg of its humanitarian missions for the benefit of the company’s host community in Tubay, Agusan del Norte.
TVIRD’s AMVI collaborates with the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) in ensuring the timely release of royalty shares to the Mamanwa and Manobo tribes.
In 2015, TVIRD’s Agata Mining Ventures Inc. initiated two major water system improvements for Barangays Tinigbasan and Lawigan in its host municipality of Tubay. Today, the communities’ improved and more reliable systems provide them essential access to one of life’s most basic needs.
AMVI assumed major sponsorship for the annual activity and donated essential medicines through its mission partner, Sociedad Española de Beneficencia Inc. (SEB-Manila) – a charitable institution dedicated to the care of both Spanish and Filipino indigents in the country.
