Brings three decades experience in resource industry management
Eugene Mateo, President of TVI Resource Development Philippines, Inc. (TVIRD)
today announced the appointment of John Ridsdel as TVIRD Senior Vice President
and Chief Operating Officer. Ridsdel will report to Mr. Clifford M. James, President
and CEO of TVI Pacific Inc, and to Mateo. Ridsdel will have operational responsibility
for all aspects of TVIRD’s business, and will coordinate closely with all
TVIRD vice presidents in an oversight capacity to ensure functional alignment

Ridsdel brings to TVIRD nearly three decades of experience in
resource industry management, of which 18 years were in an international setting.
Prior to his appointment, he has acted as an internal management advisor/consultant
for the international TVI organization, since 2004.
He served as Country Manager for the International Exploration
and Production Operations of the Canadian national oil company, Petro-Canada,
in Algeria (1993-1998); Myanmar (1992-1993); and Pakistan (1990-1992). In those
assignments, he was responsible for management of exploration, development,
and production operations.

He was Business Manager for Petro-Canada International Assistance Corporation’s
Canadian Bilateral Aid Program (1986-1990), with responsibility for Technical
Assistance Programs in Thailand, Philippines, and China.
Before his foreign postings, Ridsdel served with Petro-Canada Inc in Canada
as Administration Manager, East Coast Exploration; as Manager, Canada Benefits
negotiations with Governments; and as Manager, Public Affairs, reporting to
the CEO.
He holds degrees in Political Science from the London School of Economics in
the United Kingdom, and from the University of Toronto, Canada.
