TVI Pacific strengthens Senior Management team with new appointments

Company gears up for growth and expansion

TVI Pacific Inc. has announced the appointments of key senior executives in the Company’s expanding organization.Cliff James, President and CEO of TVI, said the new appointments have been made to strengthen TVI’s existing and experienced management team in advance of major corporate expansion plans. He added: “With the Canatuan production platform now well established, TVI is poised for rapid growth. The new senior team will be instrumental in executing our plan for future growth.”

Andrew Bradfield, Vice President for Operations, is responsible for Development and Production Operations in the Philippines, China, and any new countries the Company may enter in the future.

Mr. Bradfield has over 24 years of operations, technical, and management experience in the mineral resource industry. He has held positions at mines in Australia, Canada, China, Ethiopia, South Africa and Sweden. As a consultant, he has worked at project locations around the world. His experience includes start-up, development, operations, as well as technical and financial evaluations, for both open pit and underground mines. Prior to joining TVI, he was the Chief Operating Officer for a mining and exploration company, which operates a diamond mine, and explores for diamonds and gold in China. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc. with honours) in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada.


Carl Caumartin, Vice President for Exploration
, is responsible for all Exploration activities and New Business Development in the Philippines, China, and any new countries in which the Company may initiate exploration activities.

Mr. Caumartin has 20 years of experience in the mining industry as senior manager, executive and consultant. He has conducted project evaluation, exploration and valuation work, feasibility study assessments, as well as the development and operations of various precious and base metals projects in Canada, Europe, Australasia, West Africa and South America. He was Chief Geologist for an international/multinational mining company, prior to holding the position of Vice-President Exploration for a UK-based mining company with operations in the Philippines. Until recently, he was Manager Exploration and Development with a mining company particularly active in South America. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in geological engineering (Mining and Exploration) from Queen’s University, Canada, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada, specializing in international business.

Tim Armstrong, Vice President for Project Development is initially responsible for all aspects of developing the Copper/Zinc (Sulphide) Expansion Project located at TVI’s producing Canatuan Mine in the Philippines.

Mr. Armstrong has over 17 years of experience in the mining industry and was most recently the founder and operator of a Philippines-based mining drilling firm. Previously he was Project Manager for a UK-based mining company with operations in the Philippines, responsible for all facets of mine feasibility and development. He was Mine Development Manager for an international/multinational mining company with operations in Greece, and held prior positions as General Manager and Project Manager for mines and mine development projects in both the USA and Canada, respectively. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada.


Rene de Ocampo, Vice-President for Human Resources
, has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures throughout Asian operations including the Philippines and China, and in any new countries that the Company may enter.

Rene brings with him 17 years of experience in the field of Human Resources management with expertise in Organizational Development, Employee Relations and Compensation and Benefits Administration. He was connected with the Ayala Group of Companies and was the Head of Human Resources for Pharmacia Philippines, a multi-national pharmaceutical company. His latest assignment prior joining TVI was Vice President for Human Resources and Administration for Fuji Xerox Philippines, Inc.
